About German School of Kosova

The German School of Kosova is the first school of its kind, intertwining the Kosovar, German and American education systems. Both German and American education systems have their advantages, while combining the best of them with the Kosovar education system, makes GSK a unique school for a quality education. The German education system places a strong emphasis on building a solid foundation of knowledge in key subjects such as math, science, and languages, as well as on critical thinking and analysis. The American education system values creativity and innovation, encouraging students to think outside the box and come up with new ideas, as well as on individuality and personal expression. This can be particularly useful in fields such as technology and the arts.

“We believe that students’ wellbeing is crucial for their learning. In line with their capacity to learn, love, respect, and assertiveness are the foundation of our work.”

- Jehona Xhaferi, School Principal

German School of Kosova is a new school in Kosova, being a Kosovan school in close partnership with schools in Germany and America. The successful 30-year experience of The Cambridge School in the field of education in Kosova, combined with the 30-year experience of the German partner, as well as the successful experience of Cambridge Kids, naturally culminates in the opening of German School of Kosova.

“The main reason why I chose the German School of Kosova is the combination of the MAShT curriculum with the best practices of German education, carefully adapted in this school. At the same time, children also learn English and German, which is a great advantage.”

“One of the most important things I would like to mention is the school’s focus on the individual development of children. What makes this even more special is the professionalism and dedication of the entire staff – starting from the moment you enter the schoolyard, and continuing with the teachers and the principal.”

“As a parent, I want to share my opinion that throughout the entire academic year, I have seen the WEiSE concept implemented in practice. This concept, developed and adapted for our country, has had as its key focus an education based on values, personalized attention to the student, and close cooperation with parents."
