Introduction to the School Program

Primary School (Grades 1–5)
Our Primary School at GSK serves students from Grades 1 to 5, providing a strong foundation for their academic and personal development.
A Culture of Trust
At GSK, a culture of trust is not just a value — it is the foundation of our institutional identity. We build a community where trust, respect, responsibility, and open communication create the conditions for students to feel safe to learn, challenge themselves, and develop their full potential.
Where Learning Begins with Purpose
At the primary level at GSK, we build the foundations upon which every child’s future is shaped: curiosity, confidence, empathy, character, and a love for learning.
In a safe, inspiring, and supportive environment, students learn to think independently, collaborate with others, and develop their unique potential. For us, a child’s well-being is just as important as academic excellence.
An Educational Experience Beyond the Classroom
Our academic program is based on the MASHTI curriculum, enriched with selected elements of the German curriculum, combining national standards with modern and international teaching approaches.
Beyond the classroom, extracurricular activities and various clubs provide students with the opportunity to explore their interests, develop creativity, and build essential life skills.
Multilingual Learning from an Early Age
At GSK, language learning begins early. German is taught starting from the first grade, equipping students with linguistic, cultural, and intercultural competencies that broaden their academic and personal horizons.
Coding for the Future
Starting from the first grade, students are exposed to the world of coding and technology through a creative, hands-on, and age-appropriate approach.
Through this process, they learn to think analytically, create, experiment, and develop essential 21st-century competencies.
Personalized Learning for Every Child
We believe that every child learns differently.
Therefore, our teaching is personalized and built around the individual needs of each student. Those who need additional support are guided to progress with confidence, while high-potential students are challenged to achieve even more.
Through weekly plans and individualized approaches, students develop not only knowledge, but also one of the most important skills for the future: the ability to learn how to learn.
Mentorship that Inspires Growth
Every student at GSK has their own mentor from among the teaching staff.
Beyond their academic role, the mentor is a guide, supporter, and positive role model — helping students face challenges, build confidence, stay inspired to learn, and cultivate responsibility, integrity, and positive behavior.
Proactive and Self-Directed Learners
Guided by a culture of trust, students are empowered to become proactive and self-directed — taking responsibility for their choices, learning, and personal development.
Through this approach, they build autonomy, discipline, a growth mindset, and the ability to lead their own academic and personal journey.
A Strong Partnership with Parents
We view families as essential partners in the educational process and strongly believe that only together can we support the full development of every child.
Through open communication, trust, and continuous collaboration, we build a school community where every student is supported to grow academically, emotionally, and socially.
At GSK, Primary School is more than a stage of education — it is the beginning of a purposeful journey toward knowledge, character, and success.

Message from Co-Founder and Academic Advisor

When we truly see each learner, we understand their rhythm, strengths and ways of thinking. This helps us guide them with intention, not formula, giving each student the space and support they need to grow with confidence.

Real learning happens when every student is seen, guided and supported in their own way.

At GSK, this approach shapes everything we do. Our teachers work closely with students, creating structured yet personal learning experiences that help them explore deeply, overcome challenges and realise their full potential.

Thank you for visiting our website. Together, we will shape the future of GSK and contribute to the well-being of mankind.

“The main reason why I chose the German School of Kosova is the combination of the MAShT curriculum with the best practices of German education, carefully adapted in this school. At the same time, children also learn English and German, which is a great advantage.”

“One of the most important things I would like to mention is the school’s focus on the individual development of children. What makes this even more special is the professionalism and dedication of the entire staff – starting from the moment you enter the schoolyard, and continuing with the teachers and the principal.”

“As a parent, I want to share my opinion that throughout the entire academic year, I have seen the WEiSE concept implemented in practice. This concept, developed and adapted for our country, has had as its key focus an education based on values, personalized attention to the student, and close cooperation with parents."
