Introduction to the School Program

Lower Secondary School | Grades 6–9
A Culture of Trust
At GSK, a culture of trust is not just a value — it is the foundation of our institutional identity. We build a community where trust, respect, responsibility, and open communication create the conditions for students to feel safe to learn, take initiative, and develop their full potential.
Where Curiosity Becomes Purpose
At the Lower Secondary level, students enter an important phase of academic and personal development — a period where curiosity transforms into critical thinking, independence is strengthened, and talents begin to take direction.
In a challenging, inspiring, and supportive environment, students develop knowledge, character, and competencies that prepare them for the next stages of education and life.
An Educational Experience Beyond the Classroom
Our academic program is based on the MASHTI curriculum, enriched with selected elements of the German curriculum, combining national standards with modern and international teaching approaches.
Beyond the classroom, extracurricular activities, clubs, and various projects provide students with opportunities to develop creativity, collaboration, leadership, and essential life skills.
Multilingual Learning and Global Perspectives
At GSK, the development of language competencies remains an essential part of education.
Students continue to advance in German, strengthening their communication, academic, and intercultural skills, preparing them for future opportunities in an increasingly global world.
Technology, Coding, and Future Skills
Technology and computational thinking are an integral part of the learning experience at this level.
Through coding and the creative use of technology, students develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and the digital competencies required for the 21st century.
Personalized Learning and Academic Growth
We believe that every student has their own way, pace, and potential for learning.
Through personalized learning, differentiated approaches, and one-on-one consultations with teachers, students are supported in overcoming challenges, strengthening their abilities, and achieving personal and academic goals.
At this stage, our focus extends beyond academic content — toward developing the skills to think independently, reflect, and learn effectively.
Mentorship That Inspires Growth
Every student at GSK is supported by a dedicated mentor from the teaching staff.
Beyond academic guidance, the mentor is a supportive figure who helps students navigate this developmental stage, build confidence, develop responsibility, and cultivate positive behavior.
Proactive and Self-Directed Learners
Guided by a culture of trust, students are empowered to be proactive and self-directed — to take initiative, organize their learning process, and build the independence needed for academic and personal success.
Through this approach, they develop autonomy, discipline, a growth mindset, and the ability to lead their own development.
A Strong Partnership with Parents
We view families as essential partners in the educational process and strongly believe that only together can we support the full development of every student.
Through open communication, trust, and continuous collaboration, we build a school community where students are supported to develop academically, emotionally, and socially.
At GSK, Lower Secondary School is more than a transitional stage — it is a period where independent thinkers, responsible individuals, and learners ready for future challenges are shaped.

Message from Co-Founder and Academic Advisor

When we truly see each learner, we understand their rhythm, strengths and ways of thinking. This helps us guide them with intention, not formula, giving each student the space and support they need to grow with confidence.

Real learning happens when every student is seen, guided and supported in their own way.

At GSK, this approach shapes everything we do. Our teachers work closely with students, creating structured yet personal learning experiences that help them explore deeply, overcome challenges and realise their full potential.

Thank you for visiting our website. Together, we will shape the future of GSK and contribute to the well-being of mankind.

“The main reason why I chose the German School of Kosova is the combination of the MAShT curriculum with the best practices of German education, carefully adapted in this school. At the same time, children also learn English and German, which is a great advantage.”

“One of the most important things I would like to mention is the school’s focus on the individual development of children. What makes this even more special is the professionalism and dedication of the entire staff – starting from the moment you enter the schoolyard, and continuing with the teachers and the principal.”

“As a parent, I want to share my opinion that throughout the entire academic year, I have seen the WEiSE concept implemented in practice. This concept, developed and adapted for our country, has had as its key focus an education based on values, personalized attention to the student, and close cooperation with parents."
